Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

1 / What exactly is coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative partnership between you (the client) and me (your coach) designed to help you identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and create a clear path towards a more fulfilling and empowered life.

2 / What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy often delves into past experiences to understand present issues. Coaching, on the other hand, is primarily forward-focused. We acknowledge where you are now, but our main focus is on where you want to be and how you are going to get there.

3 / What are your areas of expertise?

I focus on four key areas: life coaching, mindset coaching, career coaching and business coaching. See My Services page for further information.

4 / What is your coaching process like?

Sessions will last around 50 minutes, held either online via Google meet, or in-person in my Marlborough office. Depending on the topic, the sessions will be a mixture of exercises and discussion. In between our sessions you are likely to have one or two actions to complete.

5 / Do you offer an introductory session?

Our first discussion will be online or over the phone, for around 30 minutes. This is free of charge, and will enable us to identify how I can best support you, and whether or not we wish to proceed.

6 / How long do people typically work with you to see results?

Typically, I work with my clients for a minimum of 3 months, often longer. The results you achieve will ultimately depend on your effort and commitment. As your coach, I am committed to helping you.

7 / What are your fees?

Coaching is an investment, and as we will be working together for a few months, we will discuss and agree the right fees.

8 / What if I'm not sure what I want to work on?

That is often the perfect scenario! Once we start working together, we will go through an exercise that will determine your priorities and where you want to focus. We will continue to monitor that, to make sure that you are getting the most out of our sessions.

9 / What is your coaching philosophy or approach?

I am a transformative coach - meaning that I focus on creating change and building positive habits.
