CAREER TRANSITION COACHING

You know something needs to change.
You just don't know what comes next.

You may have built a successful career and reached a point where it no longer fits as comfortably as it once did.

Leaving feels risky. Staying doesn't feel right either. And the more you think about what to do next, the harder the decision can become.

Knowing something needs to change doesn't make the decision easy.

You can know for months, sometimes years, that a job or career no longer feels right.

But once you admit that to yourself, other questions appear.

What would I do instead?

What would I be giving up?

What if I get it wrong?

And perhaps the bigger one:

Who am I if I'm no longer the person who does this?

That's why capable people can spend a long time thinking about change without actually moving.

The decision isn't only about work. It's tangled up with identity, security, status, responsibility and everything you've already invested in getting here.

What keeps you stuck isn't always the decision itself.

The cycle that can keep people stuck in career transition: what you've built, the need for certainty and the cost of staying.

When there's a lot at stake, wanting certainty makes sense.

The problem is that thinking alone eventually stops producing new information.

You don't need certainty before you move. You need better information.

Thinking has its place. But there comes a point when another week spent going over the same options doesn't tell you anything new.

That's when movement becomes useful.

A conversation with someone in another field. An application. An afternoon properly exploring an idea. A small experiment alongside your current job.

Each step gives you information you didn't have before. You begin to discover what interests you, what doesn't, what you're willing to give up and what matters more than you realised.

The aim of our coaching isn't to rush you into a decision.

It's to help you make the next one with better evidence.

What the coaching looks like.

We start with where you are now: what isn't working, what you're questioning and what you may already know but haven't acted on.

From there, we'll work out what you actually want, explore the options in front of you and turn those options into practical steps you can test in the real world.

The work is shaped around you. The aim is not simply to leave with a better idea of what you might do next, but with enough clarity and confidence to start moving towards it.

What it can give you.

Career Transition

"He has a great ability to ask the right questions, helping me see situations from a different perspective and gain much greater clarity."

His support, encouragement and thoughtful approach gave me the confidence and motivation to move forward with important decisions.

Danica

You don't need to know
what comes next before we talk.

If you're questioning where your career is heading, an initial conversation gives us a chance to talk about what's going on, where you feel stuck and what you would like to be different.
