LEADERSHIP COACHING
The role has changed.
What made you successful before may not be enough now.
You may have been promoted because you're capable, dependable and good at getting things done.
But leadership asks something different of you: less reliance on your own expertise, more judgement through other people, and greater confidence when the answer isn't obvious.
Stepping into Leadership is my coaching programme for newly promoted leaders. It helps you work out the kind of leader you want to be, and develop that leadership through the real situations you're dealing with at work.
Leadership changes the job
in ways that aren't always obvious.
You may still be responsible for delivering results, but increasingly you have to achieve them through other people.
That could mean:
- Delegating work you know you could do faster yourself.
- Giving difficult feedback rather than hoping the problem resolves itself.
- Making a decision when you don't have all the detail.
- Holding your position when someone more experienced or senior challenges you.
These are the everyday moments in which leadership starts to feel different.
Your value used to come largely from what you could do.
Now it increasingly comes from what you enable in others.

The challenge is learning when to step in, when to step back, and how to remain accountable without doing everything yourself.
We work on your leadership while you're actually doing it.
You don't need to learn leadership in the abstract. The situations you're dealing with each week give us the material we need.
A conversation you're avoiding. A team member you're struggling to manage. A decision you keep revisiting. A meeting where you need to have more influence.
We'll work with the immediate situation, but we won't stop there. We'll look at what it reveals about how you lead, where your instincts help you and where they may be getting in the way.
The situation gives us the problem.
It also gives us somewhere to practise.
What the coaching looks like.
We start with the leadership challenges you're facing now and the difference you want the coaching to make.
From there, our sessions are shaped around the real situations you're dealing with: decisions, conversations, relationships, team dynamics and the moments where your leadership is being tested.
Over time, the aim is to help you develop your own way of leading.
A style that feels natural to you, works under pressure and doesn't depend on having all the answers yourself.
